About the NBO
The NBO is a community orchestra for musicians of AMEB Standard Grade 6 and above (strings), and AMusA (wind and brass). The Orchestra is a not-for-profit organisation providing opportunity for both professional and amateur musicians on the Northern Beaches to excel musically, enhancing the cultural life of the local community.
Since the ensemble’s inception, there has been a strong focus on youth music education, and musicians of the Northern Beaches Orchestra are proud to support and mentor our flourishing junior orchestras - the Northern Beaches Youth Orchestra, for players of Standard AMEB Grade 3 to Grade 6, and the Northern Beaches Childrens’ Orchestra for our youngest musicians, with 6 months playing experience to AMEB Grade 2 level. Player Information packs are available for these ensembles.
